GMRS Equipment
GMRS radios include both handhelds and mobile radios. Since the General Mobile Radio Service is a “mobile” service permanent base stations are not allowed. However, using a mobile radio with a transformer is generally acceptable. There are many brands of radios for GMRS, most of which are made in China, Japan. Brands include: Wouxun, Btech, Baofeng, Radioddity, Retevis, Motorola, Uniden, Midland, Tidradio and others.
