The General Mobile Radio Service ( GMRS radios ) are easy to use, suitable for beginners. The GMRS uses channels around 462 MHz and 467 MHz and allows the use of external antennas and repeaters for an even greater range. GMRS two way radios are available in portable handheld models at up to 5 watts, like the H3 GRMS radio.
