We have been working to update and revamp our NEPA GMRS website and Facebook group page.
We are trying to add useful information and even discounts on the website. The FB group has been reset to a private group. The public FB group does also still exist. The private version allows us to keep the membership to Licensed GMRS users. The FB rules for public groups makes it impossible to have any control over membership and who can post in the group. The public group was started by Dan Brown the private group by Norm Gavlick. The NEPAGMRS.COM website is solely owned by Norm Gavlick.
One of the coolest features on the website is the map page. We have created a visual map of approximately where the Bear Creek 725 is located, and we can pin our member locations as well. It provides a cool way to see where we all are in relation to the 725. If the 725 goes down we can see who is near us for simplex operation and can create our own relay system.
We will continue to try and provide information and updates on both the website and FB for the group relating to GMRS.
